The Accountant Tag
I wrote this tutorial on my own. Any similarity to another tutorial is purely coincidental. I claim the copyright to my tutorial. This tutorial is intended for a beginner to learn how to create the background for the tag. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. To do this tutorial you will also need Photoshop CS or CS2. You may download a free trial at Adobe. Remember to save as a .psd file often! Download the filter: Visman Filters > VM Experimental Download supplies. This zip file contains the money texture I used, plus some others and some tubes of people with money. 1. Open a new, transparent image, size = 400 x 300 pixels 2. Edit > Fill with a color of your choice. 3. Layer > New > Layer
4. Filter > VM Experimental > The Accountant. Apply these settings: Red = 0, Green = 35, Blue = 0, Input Channel = 0, Distance = 20
5. Choose the rectangle selection tool. Set the Style = Fixed Size. Set width = 300, height = 250.
6. Left click on your image, and a selection box of that size will appear.
7. Move the selection box by dragging it, so that it is centered
8. Edit > Copy
9. Layer > new > Layer
10. Edit > Fill with white
11. Edit > Paste
12. Edit > Transform > Scale. Change the width and height to 150% to enlarge the numbers. 13. Right-click on the top layer and choose Merge > merge Down
14. Choose the elliptical Marquee Tool
15. Draw an ellipse on the white box.
16. Select > Inverse
17. Press the Delete Key
18. Right-click on the top layer. Choose Flatten Image
19. Image Canvas Size. Add 50 pixels to the width and to the height (to make a 25 pixel border). Be sure the canvas extension color is set to WHITE.
20. Open up the money texture. 21. Edit > Define pattern
22. With the magic wand click on the white border. 23. Edit > Fill > Pattern and choose the money texture for the pattern
24. Right click on the background layer and choose Layer From Background
25. Right-click on the layer and choose Blending Options. Click on the WORDS Bevel and Emboss. Set Style = inner bevel, technique = chisel hard, depth = 640%, direction = up, size = 8, soften = 0, Set the Gloss contour to the shape below.
26. Add tubes and text as you like to complete your tag (open the tubes up in photoshop. Edit > Copy, then click back on tag and Edit > Paste.) 27. When happy with tag, save as a JPEG. File > SAVE AS
