I own the intellectual copyright for the written tutorial. What you make is yours, but please do not take my tutorial. Share only my link. This tutorial is intended for a beginner to learn about making eggs. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. To do this tutorial you will also need Photoshop CS - CS3. You may download a free trial at Adobe. Remember to save as a .psd file often! Download Supplies. Open the font before opening Photoshop. 1. Open one of the pattern fills from the supply folder. 2. Edit > Define Pattern
3. Close Pattern fill. Open new, transparent image, size = 500 x 400 4. Choose the Horizontal Type tool
5. Set the font = WhoopAss, size = 84 pt, color = a dark color that would make a good outline for your pattern fill.
6. Window > place check by Character . You should now be able to see the Character Window. Since my text was two lines I had to adjust the leading between the lines. I made the leading 72 pt. Type your phrase and click on the check mark.
7. Choose the rectangle Marquee Tool
8. Hold the CTRL key down and left-click once on the text thumbnail. (see pink arrow)
9. Selection > Modify > Contract Contract Selection by 2 pixels.
10. Right-click on the type layer and choose Rasterize type.
11. Edit > Fill Use Pattern fill from the supply folder.

17. Right-click on balloon layer and choose Blending Options. Click on the WORDS Inner Shadow. Apply these settings: Blend Mode = Multiply, black, opacity = 31%, angle = 120, CHECK Global Light, distance = 0, choke = 10, size =27 Do not click ok.
18. Then click on the WORDS Bevel and Emboss. Apply these settings: Style = Inner Bevel, technique = smooth, depth = 123%, direction = Up, Size = 51 px, Soften = 7 px, Angle = 91 degrees, CHECK Use Global Light.
19. Select > Deselect. Right-click on the balloon layer and choose Duplicate Layer.
20. With the mover tool, move the balloon into position. If you want to make the balloon smaller: Edit > Transform > Scale, and push in the corners of the deform box to make the balloon smaller.
21. Open one of the ribbon files from the supply folder. Select > All Edit > Copy 22. Click back on balloon image. Edit > Paste. Slide the ribbon layer down behind the balloons and the text. 23. With the mover tool, move the ribbon into position behind one of the balloons. 24. Image > Adjustment > Hue/Saturation. Place a CHECK in Colorize. Slide the Hue, Saturation, and Lightness around until you get the color that you want for your ribbon.
25. Add another ribbon. I just duplicated the first ribbon. Right-click on the ribbon layer and choose Duplicate. Move it into position behind the other balloon. And I darkened it. Image > Adjustment > Brightness/Contrast.
26. Right-click on one of the layers and choose Merge Visible.
27. Layer > New > Layer
28. Choose the Gradient Tool.
29. Click on the Gradient to open the Gradient Editor. Click NEW and give it a name.
30. Click on the first stop and change the color to a dark color that matches your pattern fill. Left-click and drag downward the other stops (except the last one). When you drag downward, you remove those stops. Right now you only want 2 stops. Click on the last stop and change the color to a light color from your color fill. Slide the dark stop all the way to the left; light stop all the way to the right.
31. Now we want to make the gradient ripple. Click on the Dark color stop on the left. Then left-click once about 1/3 of the way. Another dark stop will appear. I added 2 more dark stops, and evenly spaced them apart-- so they should be at about 1/4 marks. Then I click on the light color stop and used it to add 3 more light stops and evenly spaced them. See the screenshot below. Remember: drag down and you remove them. Just click underneath the gradient and you add a stop.
32. Type in the name and click Save. 33. In the gradient bar, choose Angle Gradient.
34. In the Layer Palette, click on the bottom blank layer. 35. Left-click in the CENTER of the image and drag the gradient out to the bottom right corner.
36. It'll look like this.
37. Layer > New > Layer
38. Choose the paint brush tool. Set brush size = 65 px. Set foreground color = white.
29. Paint in some clouds.
30. Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur. Set Radius = 10 pixels.
31. Right-click on the cloud layer and choose Duplicate Layer.
32. Drag the duplicate cloud layer up to the top.
33. Edit > Transform > Distort. Push down on the center node to make the top clouds skinnier. Press the Check mark.
34. Select > All
35. Edit > Stroke. Width = 3 px, Color = same as text outline. This adds the border.
36. Add your watermark and decorate as you wish. 37. Save this as a JPEG. File > Save As.
