Breathe
I wrote this tutorial on my own. Any similarity to another tutorial is purely coincidental. I claim the copyright to my tutorial. This tutorial is intended for a beginner to learn about making animation. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. To do this tutorial you will also need Photoshop CS or CS2. You may download a free trial at Adobe. Remember to save as a .psd file often! 1. Open the tube that you wish to make breathe. Image > Duplicate. Close original. 2. Right-click on the tube layer and choose Duplicate Layer.
3. Filter > Liquify
4. Choose the Forward Warp Tool
5. Set the Brush size = 32
6. Drag the top of the nose down a little (in direction of arrow).
7. Click on the Bloat Tool
8. Change the Brush size = 90
9. Left-click ONCE on the spot you want it to look like is feeling up with air (red X)
10. Choose the Warp Left tool. Set Size = 35, and drag the tail to the right a little. Click OK.
11. Now save this image as a PSD. File > Save As. 12. Open the saved image in Image Ready. 13. In the animation box, click on the right menu arrow and choose Make Frames from Layers.
14. Hold the CTRL key and click on both frames. Then click on the time display menu (arrow by the word sec) and choose 0.2 sec.
15. Now save as a GIF. File > Save Optimized As.
