To make the Angel Body 1. Open up the wing that you made from Part one. 2. Set your foreground color to #C7DAEB, and background color to null. 3.
Choose the preset shape tool. In the Tool Options box, set the tool
to Triangle shape, check antialias, check create as a vector, and line
width = 2 (not 6)
4. On your image, draw a large triangle, starting from the top
of the image this time. Since it's a vector, it will automatically
create a new layer. *S*
5. In the left tool menu, click on the Node Edit Tool 6. Click on the top node to activate it. Then right-click
on it and choose Node Type > Symmetric
7. That should curve the top of the triangle now, like the pic below. 8. Place your cursor over one of the sides. Hold the CTRL
button down, until you see ~Add. Then click on the side to add a
node. Add 3 nodes on each side, about
1/3 of the way down.
9. Push in/drag the middle node on each side about 1/3 each way.
10. Click on the top side nodes (one of the ones you added; see
arrows). Then right-click on it and choose Node Type > Symmetric.
Do this for both sides. (see arrows). Rotate and pull the arrows
until you get a nice rounded shape.
11. Click on one of the nodes you pushed in. Right-click,
and choose Node Type > Symmetric. Do this for both of the nodes pushed
in. Rotate the arrows just slightly to get a small rounded curve.
12. Click on the third added node (bottom) and right-click. Choose
Node Type > Symmetric. Do this for both sides. Rotate and pull
the arrows slightly to smooth the curve on the dress skirt.
13. Add a node to the bottom center of the skirt. Move your
mouse over the line, hold the CTRL key down, and left-click to add the
node.
14. Right-click on the node and choose Node Type > Symmetric.
pull the node down a little to curve the skirt.
15. When you are satisfied with the shape of your angel body,
right-click anywhere on the picture and choose Quit Node Editing.
16. In the Layer Palette, right-click on vector layer and choose Convert to Raster Layer. 17. Right-click on that layer, and choose Rename. Rename it Body. 18. In the top menu, click Image > Resize. Resize to 75%.
Make sure that All Layers (at bottom) is NOT checked.
19. Your picture should look like this so far.
Use the mover tool to place the wing and body into position.
20. Save your progress. Now is a good time to take a coffee or soda break. But don't forget to come back! Now continue to make the rest of the angel.
