Color Flare Effect

This tutorial is intended for a beginner to learn about making color flares. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. To do this tutorial you will also need Photoshop CS - CS3. You may download a free trial at Adobe. Remember to save as a .psd file often! 1. Open up a jpeg image. 2. Filter > Render > Lighting Effects. Set Style = circle of light. Click on the center of each circle to activate it. You can drag a node on the edge of the circle to make the circle larger.
3. Edit > Fade Lighting Effects (so the effect is not so harsh)
4. Set Opacity = 90%
5. Filter > Render > Lighting Effects. Set Style = Flashlight. Drag a node on the outer circle edge to enlarge the circle.
6. Filter > Render > Lens Flare
7. Set Brightness = 115, Lens Type = 35mm Prime, and move the flare to the upper left corner
8. Save this as a JPEG. File > Save As
