This tutorial is intended for a beginner to learn about using filters, tubes, and patterns.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.

To do this tutorial you will also need Photoshop CS or CS2.  You may download a free trial at Adobe.

Remember to save as a .psd file often!

Download the supplies for this tut.  Install the plugin  Bondage in the plugins folder of your photoshop BEFORE you open photoshop.

1.  Open one of the two JPEGS -- Sauron's Eye or Bloody Eye-- or use your own picture of an eye.  (the eye needs to be towards the middle of the image.  Crop it so that it is, if you must).  Save the brush file (.abr) into your photoshop brushes folder.

2.  Image > Duplicate.  Close the original.

3. Filters > VM Extravaganza > James Bondage.  Apply these settings:  Calibre = 128, Spin = 128, Hole = 0.

4.  Choose the Elliptical Marquee Tool.  In the top tool bar, set the Style = Fixed Aspect Ratio

5.  Draw a circle selection around the eye part in the middle of your graphic.

6.  Select > Inverse

7.  Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation

Place a CHECK next to Colorize so you can see the bottom bar change colors.  Change the settings of the Hue, Saturation, and Lightness to find a color that you want your tag background to be.

8.  Open up the FingerprintPattern.psd file.

 9.  Edit > Define Pattern

10.  Click back on your background/eye image.  Layer > New > Layer

11.  Edit > Fill.  Use Pattern, and choose the fingerprint pattern.

12.  Slide the Opacity of this layer to 30%

13.  Open up the Fingerprint_DragonBreath.psd file.  Edit > Copy.  Click back on your background image.  Edit > Paste.

14.  Edit > Transform > Scale.  In the top toolbar, click on the Lock (Maintain Aspect Ratio) icon located between the width and height.  Then grab (left click and hold) the top right corner of the tube and drag it towards the center to shrink the fingerprint.  Press the check mark in the top toolbar.

15.  Copy and paste any other crime scene tubes you would like to use (repeat Steps 13 & 14)

16.  Layer > New > Layer

17.  Choose the paint brush tool.  In the brush properties box, choose the right menu and choose Load Brushes.  Browse to the folder where you saved the .abr brush file and choose it.

18.  Now that the brush is loaded, choose one of the several crime scene brushes.  I chose a blood spatter

19.  Left-click on the layer a few places to leave blood spatters behind.

20.  Change the brush to 3 px default brush (so that you're photoshop is back to normal)

21.  Choose the line tool.  Set Weight = 3 px, and color to same color as your blood.  Hold the SHIFT key down while you are drawing, and draw some horizontal and vertical lines to decorate your image.

22.  Right-click on the line layer and choose Rasterize Layer

23.  Your graphic should look something like this

24.  Choose your brush tool.  Then click on the Brushes Palette tab at the top of your photoshop desktop.  Click on the WORDS Brush Tip Shape.  Then click on size 4 or 5, and change the Spacing to 600- 820%.

25.  Draw some dots (drag out like you would be drawing a line) on your graphic.

26.  Layer > New > Layer

27.  Select > All

28.  Edit > Stroke.  Width = 3 px, Color = same as lines, UNCHECK Preserve Transparency.

29.  Layers > Merge Visible

30.  Resize if necessary (Image > Resize).  Save as a JPEG  File > Save As
