Inserting Backgrounds
I own the intellectual copyright for the written tutorial. What you make is yours, but please do not take my tutorial. Share only my link. This tutorial was created for some friends of mine who wanted to begin learning more about DAZ Studio. It is intended for beginners to learn how to backgrounds into DAZ. If you have any questions, please feel free to Email me. To do this tutorial you will also need DAZ Studio. You will need an image to use for a background. This image needs to be the size of your screen, or bigger. If it is smaller, DAZ will stretch it to fit, and the background will look distorted. You can download some of mine here or here. (or use your own) 1. Open DAZ 2. I usually create my scene with my figures first before adding the background, for 2 reasons:
a. the background can be so busy that it
makes it hard to arrange the scene 3. Once you're ready to add the background, Edit > Backdrop
4. Click on the Image bar that says None. Then click on Browse.
5. Browse to the folder where you saved the background file. Choose your file and select Open.
6. You will see the name of the image listed in the Image bar now. Click Accept.
And there's your background
Now you're ready to add lights. You can find more free backgrounds at Renderosity or the DAZ Forums.
