Creating Backgrounds in Bryce

I own the intellectual copyright for the written tutorial.  What you make is yours, but please do not take my tutorial.  Share only my link.

This tutorial was created for some friends of mine who wanted to begin learning more about DAZ Studio.  It is intended for beginners to learn the save options in Bryce.  If you have any questions, please feel free to Email  me.

To do this tutorial you will also need Bryce.

There are 3 saving options in Bryce, depending on what you plan to do.

Save Option 1 -- Save the scene in Bryce, so that you can make changes later without having to start over.

1.  File > Save As

2.  When the Save As box comes up, browse to a folder to save your Bryce files in.  I created my own folder.  Then give it a File name and click Save.

Save Option 2 -- Save the image as a JPEG, ready to use as a background in DAZ or as a web page image.

1.  File > Save Image As

2.  In the Save As box, browse to where you save your backgrounds.  Choose Save as type to be JPEG, compression = high quality.

3.  Save Option 3 -- Export to a graphics editor program to apply some 2D effects.

1.  File > Export Image

2.  In the Save As box, browse to a folder where you want to save.  Set the Save as type to a format that your graphics editor can use.  Both Photoshop and Paint Shop will use PSD or TIFF files.  If this image was animated, you could save it as a Quick Time movie.  Bitmap is also read by Photoshop and PaintShop -- but not very good quality.

My recommendation:  Save Twice -- once as a Bryce file, and then once as a Jpeg or alternate format.
