Installing V4

This tutorial was created for some friends of mine who wanted to begin learning more about DAZ Studio.  It is intended for beginners to learn how to install V4.  If you have any questions, please feel free to Email  me.

To do this tutorial you will also need DAZ Studio.

Ok, so you have installed DAZ Studio, and you're ready to start creating.  First, you need a doll to create with.  We'll be using Victoria 4 (V4)

If you don't have the V4 file, you can buy her here:  Victoria 4.2 base  Remember:  Store this in your storage folder not DAZ program.

Note:  This tutorial shows how to install V4, but you go through the same procedure for any installable file.

1.  Find the file you saved (in your storage folder)

2.  Double-click (click twice) on the file and wait for this Setup screen.  Click Next.

3.  Choose yes, to create an uninstaller.  Click Next.

4.  Choose  I accept the agreement, Click Next

5.  Target Application should be DAZ Studio (unless you're using Program -- but that's another tut).  Click Next.

6.  Choose Specify an installation path.  Click Next

7.  Choose the Destination Directory.  The setup program will do its best to find where you have installed DAZ Studio.  The path is:  c:\Program Files\DAZ\Studio\content       You ALWAYS want to install into the content folder of DAZ Studio when you use these installable files.  Click Next.

8.  Then you get this Ready to Install screen.  When you click Next it will begin installing.

9.  After installation, you will get a screen that says installation is done.  Click Next, and continue to click Next until the Setup screen closes.

Now you know how to install content that comes packaged by DAZ.
