This tutorial was created for some friends of mine who wanted to begin learning more about DAZ Studio.  It is intended for beginners to learn how to make water lights undulate in a figure.  If you have any questions, please feel free to Email  me.

To do this tutorial you will also need DAZ Studio, and Corel  Animation Shop.

Download the Water Texture, or use one of your own.

1.  Open up your figure in DAZ Studio.  I opened up Aiko.

2.  Click on the Surfaces Tab. Hold the CTRL key down and click on these body parts:  Lips, LIris, LPupil, Nipples, RIris, RPupil, SkinArm, SkinFeet, SkinForearm, SkinHand, Skin Hip, Skin Knee, Skin Neck, SkinScalp, Skin Shin, SkinThigh, SkinTorso.  They should all become highlighted.

3.  On the right side of the Surfaces Tab, click on the Diffuse Color tab bar.

4.  A color box comes up.  Set the color to WHITE.

5.  Now we are going to add the texture.  Click on the Texture drop-down menu below the Diffuse Color box (see orange arrow).  Choose Browse for Image.

6.  Find the water texture you saved and choose it.

7.  Now Render the figure.  Save >Last Render.

8.  Open up the image in Corel Animation Shop.

9.  Animation > Insert Image Effect.  Apply these settings:  Animation Frame, Effect length = 1.0 secs, Frames per sec = 10 fps, Effect = Underwater

10.  Click the Customize button located under the Effect name.  In the Customize box, apply these settings:  Select Apply sunlight dappling, Sunlight intensity = 20, liquid properties-water depth = 50, Wave = 4, X = 0, Y = 0.  Then drag out the segments (see orange arrows) in any direction and length that you want.  You may add extra wave vectors by clicking on the center dot and dragging out.

11.  Click on the first frame.  Edit > Delete

12.  Now save this as a GIF.  File > Save As.
