This tutorial is intended for beginners to learn how to create an open door.  If you have any questions, please feel free to Email  me.

To do this tutorial you will also need Paint Shop Pro.  I wrote this with  Paint Shop Pro X2, but the steps may also be done in any version.  You may download a free trial at Corel.

Remember to save as a psp file often!

You will need some tubes to decorate your door with.

Download the Eye Candy 4000 plugin.

1.  Open new, transparent image, size = 300 x 400

2.  Flood-fill the door with a brown color or wood pattern of your choice.

3.  Selections > Select All

4.  Choose the selection tool

5.  Click on the Custom selection icon in the toolbar at the top.

6.  Choose these settings:  Top = 20, Left = 20, Right = 280, Bottom = 390

7.  Press the delete key.

8.  Layers > New Raster Layer

If your PSP doesn't have the deform tool in the toolbar:  Right-click anywhere on the psp blank desktop and choose Customize.  Click on tools (in left menu).  Scroll down in right pane and find the raster deform tool.  Drag it over to the tool menu and release.  Now the deform tool is in your tool menu.

19.  Selections > Deselect/none

20.  Drag the door layer to the bottom.
