This tutorial is intended for a beginner to learn about setting up image ready for animation.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.

To do this tutorial you will also need Photoshop CS.  I used CS 2.  You may download a free trial at Adobe.

Remember to save as a .psd file often!

This tutorial will show you how to change the font properties.

1.  Open up a new, transparent image, any size.

2.  Choose the text tool from the tool menu, and type whatever text you want, with whatever color/font/size you choose.

3.  Now to change the properties.  In the top menu, click Windows > Character.

4.  Here is a picture of the Character Window in Photoshop:

Where I have Circled the T, that row contains the font properties:

T (circled) =  boldface

= Italics

TT = All caps

TT = Smaller caps

Superscript

Subscript

Underlined

Strike Through

Just click on the icon of the font property that you wish to use.

Above this row you can change other properties of the font, but these properties are available on the font bar in the top menu.
