Ghostly Fog

This tutorial is intended for a beginner to learn how to create the fog in the picture above. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. To do this tutorial you will also need Photoshop CS - CS3. You may download a free trial at Adobe. Remember to save as a .psd file often!
1. Open new, transparent image, size 500 x 500 2. Set foreground to black, background to white 3. Filter > Render > Clouds
4. Filter > Render > Difference Clouds
5. Hold the CTRL key down and press F, 10 to 15 times. 6. Filter > Brush Strokes > Crosshatch. Stroke length = 5, sharpness = 5, strength = 1
7. Save this image as a PSD for use on photos later on. File > Save As 8. Select > All Edit > Copy
9. Open up the photo or image that you want to use your clouds on. Image > Duplicate. Close the original. 10. Layer > New > Layer from Background
11. Edit > Paste
12. On the cloud layer, change the Layer Blend mode to Overlay
13. Save this as a JPEG. File > Save As
