This tutorial was created for some friends of mine who wanted to begin learning more about PSP. It is intended for beginners to learn how to animate and glitter edges. If you have any questions, please feel free to Email me. To do this tutorial you will also need Paint Shop Pro. I wrote this with Paint Shop Pro 9, but the steps may also be done in any version. You may download a free trial at Corel. Remember to save as a psp file often! 1. Open the tube or image that you want to apply some glitter to. 2. Shift + D to duplicate. Close the original. 3. 5. Carefully outline the parts of the tube that you want to apply the glitter to (draw the outlines on the new layer.
6. Selections > Select All. Selections > Float. Selections > Defloat
7. KEEP selected! In the layer palette, right-click on the white (top) layer and choose Delete
8. Right-click on the tube layer and choose Duplicate. Duplicate again so you have 3 tube layers.
9. Now click on the bottom layer to highlight it. 10. Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add Noise. Uniform, 20%, Monochrome.
11. In the Layer Palette, click on the middle layer to highlight it. 12. Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add Noise. Change the Noise to 30% 13. In the Layer Palette, click on the top layer to highlight it. 14. Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add Noise. Change the Noise to 40%. 15. Save this as a PSP image. File > Save As 16.
