Heart Shower Tag

This tutorial is intended for beginners to learn how to create a tag using a plugin. If you have any questions, please feel free to Email me. To do this tutorial you will also need Paint Shop Pro. I wrote this with Paint Shop Pro X2, but the steps may also be done in any version. You may download a free trial at Corel. Remember to save as a psp file often! Download the Love Letters Font and the Monika font, and install them to your pc. Download MuRa's Filter Meister > Copies plugin and install it. 1. Open a new, transparent image, size 500 x 500. 2. Choose the custom shape tool.
3. Choose the shape to be heart, CHECK create as a vector, CHECK anti-alias. Set background color to red, and foreground color to NULL
4. Draw a small heart in the center of the canvas.
5. Right-click on the heart layer and set to Convert to Raster Layer
6. Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel Apply these settings: bevel = pie shape, width = 20, smoothness = 15, depth = 5, ambience = 0, shininess = 30, color= white, angle = 335, intensity = 30, elevation = 50.
7. Effects. > Plugins > MuRa's Filter Meister > Copies. Apply these settings: Set preset to Shower (lower left corner), Random (circle), 20, 100, 100, 0,0, 25, 20, 100, 0, 0 , 0, 30, 0
8. With the mover tool, move the heart shower upwards on the canvas.
9. Effects > Plugins > MuRa's Filter Meister > Copies Same settings as before, EXCEPT change the SHIFT Y to 90 and SHIFT X to 81
You may have to play with the SHIFT X so that the hearts do not run off the margins.
10. Set the foreground color = black. Choose the text tool, set font = Love Letters, Size = 108 pixels, CREATE AS Vector. Type the word LOVE.
11. Move the text into position and right-click on the text layer, choose Convert to Raster Layer
12. Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow. Horizontal & Vertical = 1, opacity = 100, blur = 2, color = black
13. Choose the text tool. Set font = Monika, size = 48, CREATE as Vector. Set foreground = NULL, background = pink
14. Choose the rectangle selection tool. Click on the Merged Opaque icon. This will put a selection box around the used area of the canvas.
15. Image > Crop to Selection
16. Save to a GIF file. File > Export > GIF Optimizer.
