Lace Border Stat or
Webpage
I wrote this tutorial on my own. Any similarity to another tutorial is purely coincidental. I claim the copyright to my tutorial. You are free to do whatever you please with what you make, but please do not take my tutorial. Do not send the tutorial through email. Only share my link. This tutorial was created for some friends of mine who wanted to begin learning more about PSP. It is intended for beginners to learn how to make a lace edge border. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. To do this tutorial you will also need Paint Shop Pro. I wrote this with Paint Shop Pro X, but the steps may also be done in any version. You may download a free trial at Corel. Remember to save as a psp file often! You will need to download the
Lace Stat Template
here: 1. Unzip the templates and open the SideLaceStatTempRDB.psp in Paint Shop Pro. 2. Shift + D to duplicate, and close the original. 3. In the Layer Palette, make sure that the background layer is highlighted. Flood-fill the background selection with a color of your choice.
4. Effects > Textures > Textures. Apply these Effects: Old Paper, Size = 75%, Smoothness = 0, Depth = 5, Ambience = - 5, Shininess = 0, Angle = 315, Intensity = 50, Elevation = 30.
5. Selections > Invert. In Layer Palette Click on middle Layer (Decorative Image)
6. Flood-fill this selection with the color of your choice OR paste an image into that selection. (open image. Edit > Copy. Then click back on template. Edit > Paste into Selection 7. Click on the eye of the Lace Edging Layer to HIDE that layer. Right-click on the Decorative layer and choose Merge > Merge Visible.
8. Effects > Image Effects > Seamless Tiling. Apply these Settings: Edge, Vertical, Width = 10%, Transition = 100%
9. Choose the text tool. Set it to Vector. Choose your font and size (about 16 pt), and color. type your watermark. Then grab the rotate handle and rotate left 90 degrees. Move your watermark into position along the left edge.
10. Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow. Apply these settings: V & H = 1, Opacity = 100, Blur = 1, Color = a dark shade of your bakground.
11. (Optional) You can apply color to the lace edging. Adjust > Hue/ Saturation > Hue and Saturation. Change the numbers for Hue and Saturation until you get the color you like.
12. Now save this as a Jpeg. File > Export > JPEG Optimizer. The zip file also included another template with a Lace Top Border. You would follow the same procedure, but instead do a vertical seamless tiling when you get to Step 8.
