This tutorial is intended for a beginner to learn about making noise glitter.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.

To do this tutorial you will also need Photoshop CS.  You may download a free trial at Adobe.

Remember to save as a .psd file often!

1.  Open a new, transparent image, size 500 x 500.  I know that's large now, but we'll resize later.

2.  Choose the text tool and choose any font you wish to use.  I used Plump MT, size = 72 pt.  Type your name or phrase.

3 .  Right-click on text layer in Layer Palette, and choose  Rasterize Layer.

4.  In top menu, click Image > Trim.  Select Transparent in the box that comes up.  This will trim the excess transparent space.

5.  In the Layer Palette, right-click on the name layer and choose Duplicate Layer.  Duplicate again so that you now have 3 layers.

6.  In the top menu, click Filter > Noise > Add Noise

7.  Set the noise to 20%. and uniform.

8.  In the Layer Palette, click on the 2nd layer.  In the top menu, click Filter > Noise > Add Noise.  Set Noise to 25%, uniform.

9.  In Layer Palette, click on the bottom layer.  In top menu, click Filter > Noise > Add Noise.  Set Noise to 30%, Uniform.

NOTE:  You might want to experiment with the noise settings.

10.  In the tool menu, click the bottom Icon:  edit in ImageReady.  This will send your image into ImageReady.

11.  In the box on the right side marked with tabs for Web Content and Color Table, click on the drop-down arrow, and choose Palette Options.

12.  Place a check next to Include Animation Frames, and choose your Thumbnail Size.

13.  Click on the bottom of the frame and set time to 0.1 seconds.

14.  In the frames, click on the drop-down arrow and choose copy frame.

15.  In the drop-down arrow, click on Paste Frames.

16.  Choose paste after selection

17.  Click on the first frame.  In the Layer Palette, click on the eyes to HIDE the top two layers.

18.  Click on the second frame.  In the Layer Palette, click on the eyes to HIDE the first and third layers.

19.  Click on the third frame.  In the Layer Palette, click on the eyes to HIDE the second and third layers.

20.  Click on the Play button to see your animation.  Adjust times as necessary.  Press Stop.

21.  In top menu, click File > Save Optimized As...  and save!
