I wrote this tutorial on my own.  Any similarity to another tutorial is purely coincidental.  I claim the copyright to my tutorial. You are free to do whatever you please with what you make, but please do not take my tutorial.  Do not send the tutorial through email.  Only share my link.

This tutorial was created for some friends of mine who wanted to begin learning more about PSP.  It is intended for beginners to learn how to use animation.  If you have any questions, please feel free to Email  me.

To do this tutorial you will also need Paint Shop Pro.  I wrote this with  Paint Shop Pro X, but the steps may also be done in any version.  You may download a free trial at Corel.

Remember to save as a psp file often!

1.  Open new, transparent image, size = 500 x 300.

2.  Open up the car tube of your choice.  Edit > Copy.  Click back on image.  Edit > Paste as New Layer.

3.  It will need to be resized.  Image > Resize.  Resize to 50%, Resize all layers UNCHECKED.

4.  Move the car into position.  Position will be different according to which car you chose, and which way it is facing.

6.  Right-click on the bottom layer and choose Delete

7.  Right-click on the car layer and choose duplicate.

8.  Effects > Image Effects > Offset.  Horizontal Offset = - 100, Vertical Offset = - 55, Edge Mode = Transparent.

9.  Repeat Steps 7 - 8 until you have 4 cars altogether

10.  Click on the second car layer.    Effects > Distortion > Wind.  From Right (depending on which way car is facing), Wind Strength = 25.

11.  Slide the Opacity of the layer to 51

12.  Repeat Steps 10 & 11 on the 3rd car layer.  (So the two middle car layers should have wind effects and opacity lowered).  Your image should look something like below.

13.  Save this as a PSP image.

14.  Open a new, transparent image, size = 500 x 300

15.  Effects > Plugins > Mura's Seamless > Checks.  Apply these settings:  0, 0, 0, 254, 192, 3, 128, 0

16.  Effects > Geometric Effects > Wave.  Apply these settings:  Amplitude = 1, Wavelength = 50, Amplitude = 2, Wavelength = 40, Edge Mode = Transparent

17.  Edit > Copy

18.  Open Animation Shop.  Edit > New.

19.  Width = 500 , Height = 300, Transparent

20.  Edit > Paste > Into Selected Frame

21.  Edit > Duplicate Selected.  Repeat this step so that you have 4 Frames of this check background.

22.  Edit > Select All

23.  File > Open.  Open your car image.

24.  Edit > Select All

25.  Animation > Reverse Frames

26.  Click on Check background image.  Edit > Paste > Into Selected Frame

27.  Place your car at the same position that you started off with in paint shop.  The rest of the cars will fall into place in the other frames.

28.  You can add your watermark to the animation the same way.  File > New.  size= 100x 100

29.  When you are finished adding all your text,  Right-click on the first frame and choose frame properties.  Set the display time = 40.

30.   Set the display time to the LAST frame to 30

31.  Edit > Duplicate Selected

32.  Open the font file of your choice.  I chose Slipstream. In animation shop click on the text tool.  Set font to Slipstream, bold, size = 72.  Type in your text name.

33.  Place the name where you want it.

34.  Now the animation is too big for email, so it needs to be resized.  Animation > Resize Animation.

35.  Set Width = 250 Pixel Size.

36.  Now save your animation.  File > Save As
