I claim the copyright to this tutorial.  You are free to do whatever you please with what you make, but please do not take my tutorial.  Do not send the tutorial through email.  Only share my link.

This tutorial was created for some friends of mine who wanted to begin learning more about PSP.  It is intended for intermediates to learn how to use preset shapes and to shade.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.

To do this tutorial you will also need Paint Shop Pro.  I used Paint Shop Pro 8, but the steps used may also be done in Version 7.04.  You may download a free trial at Jasc.

You will need the Postmaster Font.

You will also need some stamps that you created from the Stamp Tutorial.

1.  Open up a new 500 x 300 transparent image.

2.  Open up the stamp or stamp images that you want to use.

3.  On the first stamp, Click Edit > Copy.

4.  Then click on the blank image and click Edit > Paste > Paste as New Layer.

5.  Repeat Steps 3 & 4 until you have 4 stamp layers on the blank image.  The four stamps can be the same or different.  I renamed my stamp layers from bottom up to Stamp 1, Stamp 2, Stamp 3, Stamp 4.

6.  In the Layer Palette, click on Stamp 1 layer to highlight

7.  In the top menu, click Image > Rotate > Free Rotate.  click Left, and Free = 50.

8.  In the Layer Palette, click on Stamp 2 layer to highlight

9.  In the top menu, click Image > Rotate > Free Rotate.  click Left, and Free = 30.

10.  In the Layer Palette, click on Stamp 3 layer to highlight

11.  In the top menu, click Image > Rotate > Free Rotate.  click Right, and Free = 30.

12.  In the Layer Palette, click on Stamp 4 layer to highlight

13.  In the top menu, click Image > Rotate > Free Rotate.  click Right, and Free = 50.

14.  Your image should look like this

14.  Choose your text tool.  Text = Postmaster, size = 72, foreground & background = color or gradient of your choice.

15.  In top menu, click Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow.  Apply these settings:  vertical = 1, horizontal = 1, Opacity = 100, blur = 1, color = #404040

16.  Apply the Drop Shadow again, but change vertical & horizontal = -1 (negative)

17.  Crop and save as a gif
