I wrote this tutorial on my own. Any similarity to another tutorial is purely coincidental. I claim the copyright to my tutorial. This tutorial was created for some friends of mine who wanted to begin learning more about PSP. It is intended for beginners to learn how to use brushes and make a diamond tiling with a pattern. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. To do this tutorial you will also need Paint Shop Pro. I wrote this with Paint Shop Pro X, but the steps may also be done in any version. You may download a free trial at Jasc. Remember to save as a psp file often! Download the Supplies. Save the web mask into your mask folder. I did not create this mask. 1. Open new, transparent file, size 300 x 300
2. Set your foreground color to #fd752b or another color of your choice.
3. Using the paint can tool, Flood-fill the image with the color.
4. In the top menu, click Layers > New Raster Layer
5. Set the background to Black, and flood-fill the new layer with black.
6. In the top menu, click Layers > New Mask Layer > From Disk. If you do not see the mask listed, then check your file locations. (File > Preferences > File Locations) to see if your folder is listed under Masks.
7. Open up the fairy tube that you want to use. In the top menu, click Image > Resize. Resize the largest dimension to 300 pixels.
8. In top menu, click Edit > Copy. Then click back on the web image and click Edit > Paste as new Layer.
9. In top menu, click Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow. Apply these settings: veritcal = 3, horizontal = 4, Opacity = 60, Blur = 8, Color = Black.
10. In top menu, click Layers > Merge > Merge All (flatten)
11. In top menu, click Image > Add Borders. Set Color = White, Size = 3 , Symmetric CHECKED.
12. Set the foreground color to Gradient. Choose a gold gradient. Set Angle = 135, Repeats = 5.
13. With the magic wand tool set to tolerance = 0, click on the white border to select it. Flood-fill the white border with the gold gradient.
14. In top menu, click Selections > None.
15. Set the background to Pattern. Choose the image that you are creating. Set Angle = 135, Scale = 50
16. In top menu, click Image > Add Borders. Size = 20
17. With the magic wand select the white border. Flood-fill the border with the pattern you set in Step 15.
18. In the top menu, click Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow. Apply these settings: Vertical = 1, Horizontal = 1, Opacity = 100, Blur = 2, Color = Black
19. In the top menu, click Image > Add Borders. Size = 3
20. Select the white border with the magic wand and flood-fill it with the gold gradient.
21. In the top menu, click Image > Add Borders. Size = 2, Color = Black. 22. In the top menu, click Image > Add Borders. Color = White, Size = 5
23. Now add your watermark and name, and save as a JPEG . File > Export > JPEG Optimizer.
